Chocolate and orange – were two flavours ever meant for each other more. If you’re a fan and fancy a little yummy snack or desert why not give these a go. They’re super quick and easy to make but also yummy using nuts and fruit without the need for additional sources of sugar. I’m sure you could try this with other fruits, particularly citrus fruits like lemon or lime.
1 tbsp Nut butter of choice
5 tbsp (50g) cocoa powder
Juice and zest of 1 orange
¼ tsp Orange extract (optional, if you don’t have it, don’t worry!)
Makes 14-20 balls (depending on size)
- Add the dates and almonds to a food processor and pulse or blend until chopped finely.
- Add all the other ingredients and pulse until it mixes and comes together
- Using slightly wet hands take tbsp amounts of the mix and roll into balls.
- Eat or store in the fridge to keep fresh for upto 7 days.
