September: Autumn, Warmth, Routine, Reflection

Station Eleven – Emily St. John Mandel*

This book was difficult to put down. It’s a truly enjoyable read; so well written. It’s a post-apocalyptic novel but is also so much more; it’s a story about love, connection and what it means to be alive. If you’re looking for a new book to read go for this one.

My Local Library

I’ve been living in Canada Water for 18 months now and it was only just over 3 months ago that I signed up to join the library. Not only is my library in a stunning building and beautiful inside but more importantly it provides me access to 1,000s of books for free. Since then I’ve currently borrowed and read 22 books – that’s a lot of money I’ve saved! I only wished I’d joined sooner! If you’re not sure where your nearest library is and you’re in the UK check out this website.

Workin’ Moms

This TV show is available on Netflix with season 3 having just been released. The show revolves around 3 main characters as they navigate motherhood as working women. It’s absolutely hilarious. A super funny, easy watching, binge-worthy show.

Cookie and Kate

Kate’s back catalogue of recipes is amazing – there isn’t one recipe I’ve made of her’s that I haven’t loved. Very much based on whole foods her recipes are vegan or can be easily made vegan. I’ve been a bit lacking in the recipe creation this month whilst I’ve been working and completing a diploma so her recipes have been wonderful to help me explore new dishes and find easy meals to make. Check out Kate’s recipes here.
